1. JSSAHERM’s Scholarships
JSSAHERM Scholarships demonstrates the institution’s commitment to reward students who have obtained excellent results at Higher School Certificate or who come from low income families; and wish to enrol on full-time undergraduate study at JSSAHERM..
JSSAHERM Scholarships Schemes
- Based on Performance at HSC*- 25% discount on tuition fees for the first year of the undergraduate programme [3 A+ in Advanced level and 2 A at Subsidiary level at the Cambridge Higher Secondary Education]
- Based on Performance at end of academic year** – 25% discount on tuition fees for the academic year of the undergraduate programme [Score 90% or above and be the topper]
- Based on Social Register***- 10% discount on tuition fees for each academic year and a monthly allowance of MUR 5,000 during the time the student attend classes [2 semesters of 15 weeks in every academic year].
*Two scholarships will be awarded for each cohort having a minimum of 10 per intake
** 1 Scholarship will be awarded under this category. In case of 2 or more students having the same percentage point, the scholarship amount will be shared equally
*** Student should be from a low-income household haring a minimum figuring on the social register of the Republic of Mauritius.
2. Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to receive the JSSAHERM Scholarship, applicants must:
- Submit an application for same.
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age on 1 February of the year of commencing the scholarship.
- Be able to satisfy the admission requirements of JSSAHERM.
- Have scored 3 A+ in Advanced level and 2 A at Subsidiary level at the Cambridge Higher Secondary Education for the JSSAHERM Scholarship (Merit); OR have scored a minimum of 24 credit points at the Cambridge Higher Secondary Education AND be from a low-income household figuring on the social register of the Republic of Mauritius for the JSSAHERM Scholarship (Social).
3. Exceptions
- JSSAHERM may consider granting scholarships on other grounds than mentioned herein.
- JSSAHERM reserves the right to change the scholarship schemes.
