JSSAHERM’s Scholarships


JSSAHERM Scholarships reflect the institution’s commitment to rewarding students who demonstrate exceptional results in the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or come from low-income families, and wish to enroll in full-time undergraduate programs at JSSAHERM.


JSSAHERM Scholarship Schemes

  • Based on Performance at HSC: 25% discount on tuition fees for the first year of the undergraduate program for students who achieve 3 A+ in Advanced Level and 2 A at Subsidiary Level in Cambridge Higher Secondary Education.
  • Based on Performance at the End of Academic Year: 25% discount on tuition fees for the academic year of the undergraduate program for students who score 90% or above and are the topper in their cohort.
  • Based on Social Register: 10% discount on tuition fees for each academic year and a monthly allowance of MUR 5,000 during the time the student attends classes (2 semesters of 15 weeks in every academic year). This scholarship is available to students from low-income households listed on the social register of the Republic of Mauritius.

Conditions

  • HSC-based scholarships: Two scholarships will be awarded for each intake cohort with a minimum of 10 students.
  • End of academic year-based scholarships: One scholarship will be awarded per academic year. If two or more students achieve the same percentage, the scholarship amount will be shared equally.
  • Social Register-based scholarships: Students must be from a low-income household listed on the social register of Mauritius.

Eligibility Criteria



  • Submit a completed scholarship application.
  • Be at least 18 years old by February 1 of the year in which they commence the scholarship.
  • Meet the admission requirements of JSSAHERM.
  • For the Merit Scholarship: Achieve 3 A+ in Advanced Level and 2 A at Subsidiary Level in the Cambridge Higher Secondary Education.
  • For the Social Scholarship: Achieve a minimum of 24 credit points in the Cambridge Higher Secondary Education and be from a low-income household listed on the social register of the Republic of Mauritius.

Exceptions



JSSAHERM may consider granting scholarships on other grounds beyond those mentioned. The institution reserves the right to modify or replace the scholarship schemes at its discretion.
